  • Profile information: Education level, selected subjects, and exam preferences.
  • User content: Images of handwritten answers uploaded for AI grading.
  • Payment information: Processed securely through third-party payment processors (Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play Store). We do not store your credit card details.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage data: Features used, study plans generated, mock tests taken, and interaction patterns.
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs.

2.3 Third-Party Services

  • Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
  • Google AdMob: For free-tier users, Google AdMob may collect device advertising identifiers and usage data to serve relevant advertisements.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.

4. AI Processing

Examius uses third-party AI services (including OpenAI) to process your data for features such as mock test generation, AI grading, study planning, and chat assistance. Your inputs (including uploaded images of answer sheets) are sent to these AI services for processing. We do not use your personal data to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, AI processing, payment processing, email delivery, analytics).
  • Advertising partners: Google AdMob for serving advertisements to free-tier users.

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase and Vercel. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Free-tier users may see advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information for the purpose of serving personalized advertisements. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. Paid subscribers do not see advertisements.
